Caboolture Suburb Profile

Originally a quiet town popular with farmers and retirees, the growth in affordable housing in Caboolture has seen the suburb become a popular choice with new families.

Businesses have also been seen to capitalise on the area's growth with homemaker centres, mega hardware stores and shopping centres taking up prime locations in the outer-suburbs.

Perfectly situated between the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, Caboolture's farms and forests have given way to hectares of housing in this booming region.

Over the next 5 and 10 years, Caboolture’s population is expected to grow annually at rates that are double Queensland’s 5-year and 10-year growth rates. From 23,000 people in 2011, Caboolture’s population is forecasted to double and exceed 40,500 people by 2036. Morayfield’s population over the next 25 years is projected to grow 5.2% a year, which is more than double Queensland’s 25-year growth rate of 1.9% a year. By 2036, forecasts suggest Morayfield’s population would have tripled, from 5,000 to 18,000 people
